Carry ILP permits – needed for Nathula, Zuluk, etc

Best time – March–June & Oct–Dec.

Carry cash – ATMs are rare in remote areas.

Mobile network is weak – only BSNL/Jio work in high-altitude zones.

Try local food – thukpa, momos, and yak cheese
